Enjoy relaxing days at sea and celebrate Christmas Day on board Marco Polo. Simply relax and let our friendly restaurant staff serve you Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings. Enjoy the wonderful entertainment including a sparkling gala evening show. On Boxing Day you arrive in Gibraltar, a little piece of Britain in the Mediterranean. Your first call in the Canary Islands is Lanzarote, a volcanic island of extraordinary moon-like landscapes best viewed from the slopes of Fire Mountain, before calling at Las Palmas, in Gran Canaria, from where you may opt to discover some of the island’s quieter corners and attractive old towns.

On Tenerife, you may choose to explore the National Park dominated by towering Mount Teide, Spain’s highest mountain. With its semi-tropical climate, pretty white houses and beautiful scenery, the island of Madeira will delight you. At midnight on New Year’s Eve, watch the amazing firework display over Funchal, from the rail of Marco Polo and celebrate into the small hours. Lisbon has a very distinctive character with its magnificent buildings, numerous monuments and charming old Alfama disrict.
