Astoria, the new name for Azores

Astoria, the new name for Azores

After a winter docking period in Greece, Astoria will head up to the UK today Thursday, 10th March all set for her spring departures from Bristol Avonmouth.

The picture shows the 550 passenger Astoria shortly after the new name for the vessel was added. Formerly Azores, the ship has been re-named in–line with our smaller ship offering alongside Astor, and joins our mid-size vessels Marco Polo, Magellan and, following the announcement earlier this week, Columbus.

Highly rated on ‘Cruise Critic’ the 16,144 tonnes Astoria will start cruising from Bristol  Avonmouth on 21st March (Easter) on a sell out 7 night Scottish Islands & Emerald Isle cruise. On 28th March the ship sets off on a 15 night cruise down to Portugal, Azores and Madeira. Astoria is set to visit Leixoes (for Oporto), Lisbon, two popular islands in the Azores and the Spanish port of La Coruña on the journey back to Bristol. Due to cancellations, there are a few last minute cabins available from only £699 per person sharing twin accommodation.
